I am on an amazing journey
I am listening to every 1994 show in order, mining for gold.
Reasonably good first set, although Julie caught the rabbit by his hair and tortured him to death in this performance of "Row Jimmy." Yet, Jerry comes back to hit "Might as Well" right out of the park, just one song later. Great performance. Set 2 Truckin is quite interesting, along with Drums>Space. Standing on the Moon>Good Lovin' is spectacular. Standard encore.

surprisingly lovely show
I'm listening to the tour in order (as one should) for the first time in quite a while. I always get stuck on that first Chicago show, which I think is a very weak show with an under the weather Jerry. Nevertheless, so far this spring 94 tour is a lot better than the 93 one. Vince is more integrated and has a decent organ sound finally. Jerry is in and out and of course I'm expecting him to become more and more out as the tour/year progresses one however, is a winner. This excellent soundboard reveals that they are hanging on to some of the (frequent) balls to the wall intensity of the previous two nights that's largely missing from shows from late 93 on. In some places, this is a delicate show featuring lots of sparkling, light-fingered filigrees from Jerry (Row Jimmy, the Might as Well revival, China Cat, Trucking') and a generally rockin' groove by everyone else . Elsewhere, the show hits peaks of intensity such as the awesome jam after Truckin' and Miracle. It's a jangly, good ole Nassau dance party for sure and this is a great soundboard. .
